Of TVs and VCRs

Around 12 years ago:
TV with analog signal. 2 channels. The pinnacle of technology was a VCR which could record stuff playing on tv (after enough wires were connected just right). The recording was done on tapes which weighed around half a kg for a 3 hour recording.
2010:
Digital tv's and recorders inbuilt with all sorts of fancy scheduling. You can decide all that you want to watch a month in advance and just record it to play at your own free will (and without adverts)
And the icing on the cake: Youtube plays directly on my tv. (Yes I can browse using my tv remote) (No, no computers are connected in any way).

Yes, I have been overwhelmed by technology today. And this has happened after a long time.
And I am sure (and I hope) that in half a decade, if someone reads this, s/he will have a good chuckle at my naivety.
